About the role
Mainline Excavator Operator with 5+ years of experience operating excavators in underground utility construction is needed.
Responsibilities
- Install waterline, sewer, and storm drain systems
- Work with various pipe sizes and trench depths
- Operate excavators for trenching, pipe placement, and backfilling
- Ensure knowledge of trench safety, shoring systems, and OSHA regulations
- Read construction plans, verify grades, and follow utility layouts
- Work around existing/live utilities (Blue Stake compliance)
Requirements
- Valid drivers license required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and demanding jobsite environments
Qualifications
- Experience operating excavators in underground utility construction
- Proficient in operating excavators for trenching, pipe placement, and backfilling
- Knowledge of trench safety, shoring systems, and OSHA regulations
- Ability to read construction plans, verify grades, and follow utility layouts
- Experience working around existing/live utilities (Blue Stake compliance)
