Mainframe Storage System Programmer - W2 Only

About the role

The Mainframe Storage System Programmer is responsible for managing and maintaining IBM and Dell EMC storage systems in a z/OS environment. This position requires an excellent understanding of System z architecture, IBM z/OS operating system, and Parallel Sysplex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of ISV products such as REXX, RMF, and SMF.
• System parameters/parmlib maintenance to ensure optimal storage performance.
• Managing incidents related to storage systems and providing timely solutions.
• Monitoring storage performance and generating reports as needed.
• Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of System z architecture.
• Extensive experience with IBM z/OS operating system.
• Knowledge of Parallel Sysplex concepts and catalog management.
• Experience with IBM system utilities.
• Strong technical skills in managing and maintaining ISV products.
• Proficient in hardware knowledge of large scale storage vendors like IBM and Dell EMC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in mainframe storage systems administration.
