About the role

Hands-on Mainframe Storage Administrator responsible for setup, management, and 24/7 operational support of mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain ISV products on Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780, and DFSMS suite (CA-1, FDR/ABR, SMP/E).
• Manage Mainframe DC Storage Replication.
• Maintain IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM configurations.
• Perform Mainframe capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Maintain PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation.
• Set up and conduct Disaster Recovery drills; perform recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide 24/7 operational support and on-call troubleshooting for mainframe storage-related issues.
• Offer technical guidance and advice to application development teams as needed.

Requirements

• In-depth, hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780, Hitachi HUR, DFSMS suite, CA-1, FDR/ABR, and SMP/E.

Pay

$90,000–$110,000 a year
