Mainframe Lead

About the role

This position requires a professional with extensive experience in Mainframe and Java Modernisation, responsible for understanding requirements for Mainframe Modernization and Legacy Migration projects.

Required experience

• 8+ years of experience in the Mainframe & Java Modernisation space
• Experience with Mainframe Modernization in migration scenarios: On-Prem to On-Prem, Cloud Migration to Azure, and Migration to Microfocus
• Prior involvement with LMCOE (Legacy Migration) in previous engagements
• Experience in building team composition for Migration Projects

Technical skills

• Mandatory Mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, MQ, VSAM
• Java knowledge: Basic proficiency required to integrate and understand REST API integration and validations
• Automation: Knowledge in developing problem statements using automation tools with Java or Python
