About the role

Provide thought and technical leadership for key initiatives on a platform dedicated to high-scale processing of large amounts of data. Collaborate with Operations, peers, and management to improve infrastructure, processes, policies, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain architecture solutions for high-scale data processing platforms.
  • Set, communicate, and reinforce technical standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior and senior engineers, enhancing their skills.
  • Assess and research current platform implementations to meet customer needs.
  • Plan major infrastructure upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime.
  • Collaborate on process improvements, policy enhancements, and customer service opportunities.
  • Participate in code review, unit testing, and provide support for issues in non-production or production environments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
  • 5+ years of CICS system knowledge.

Skills

  • Good understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process.
  • Familiarity with DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler, and debugger tools.
  • Exposure to distributed applications/systems and Brokerage/Finance domain.
  • Experience with highly transactional, fault-tolerant, and data-driven systems.
  • Ability to identify risks, mitigate complex issues, and adapt communication styles for diverse teams and geographies.
  • Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and deadline adherence.
  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate roadblocks and generate effective solutions.
  • Ability to build rapport with partners and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability in changing environments and effectiveness in various business settings.
  • Initiative to define vision for product improvement and execute at a high level of quality.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $117,270 - $195,450 per annum. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical skills, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
