Mainframe Engineer (3673)
Responsibilities
- Application Development: Code complex COBOL/CICS/JCL programs.
- Analyze business processes and system requirements.
- Build and maintain mainframe applications.
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Testing: Create test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
- Run component, assembly, and system tests.
- Prepare test environments and test data.
- Review results with users and ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
- 10+ years in application development and systems analysis.
- Banking or brokerage experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- COBOL, CICS, JCL
- DB2 + strong SQL
- MQ, FTP, NDM (preferred)
- SWIFT ISO, XML
- AQT (plus)
- Java, J2EE, CWF, JavaScript, WAS 8.5 (plus)
Desired Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of SDLC and change management; Agile is a plus.
- Ability to write functional and technical documentation.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
