Roles & Responsibilities
- Provided L2/L3 production support for mission-critical Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) applications running on IBM z/OS and Teradata platforms.
- Maintained batch jobs using Control-M to ensure successful completion of daily, month-end, and post-month processing within established SLA windows.
- Served as a subject matter expert for enterprise data processing for claims, encounters, pharmacy, member, provider, broker, wellness, and financial data across multiple lines of business.
- Developed, modified, and maintained COBOL programs, JCL, DB2 queries, and VSAM file processes to support business and operational requirements.
- Conducted production incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA), implementing permanent corrective actions to minimize recurring issues.
- Executed manual job restarts, dependency management, and batch recovery activities to maintain production availability and data integrity.
- Validated production data through reconciliation, QA testing, and business verification to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Utilized TSO/ISPF, File-AID, File Master, SPUFI, InterTest, and SyncSort to analyze datasets, debug application issues, and perform file manipulation.
- Managed application code migrations and production deployments using Endevor in accordance with Change Management and SDLC processes.
- Collaborated with business users, developers, QA teams, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues and support application enhancements.
- Coordinated daily operational activities with offshore teams, including work allocation, knowledge transfer, issue tracking, and status reporting.
- Participated in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning using Jira.
- Prepared technical documentation, operational procedures, production support runbooks, and knowledge transfer documents.
- Sustained compliance with IT governance, change control procedures, security standards, and audit requirements.
- Maintained production stability by proactively monitoring system health, identifying performance bottlenecks, and recommending process improvements.
- Supported scheduled maintenance, application releases, disaster recovery activities, and on-call production support for critical business applications.
