Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
About the role
The Mainframe Developer is responsible for designing and building relational database models and defining data requirements to meet the business needs. They partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, SMEs, analysts, and development teams to understand business processes, data requirements, source systems, data mappings, and data consumption needs.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements, processes, and rules into logical and physical data models, source-to-target mappings, and data integration specifications
- Write scripts and commands for data manipulation
- Design and govern reusable test data patterns, provisioning approaches, masking strategies, synthetic data solutions, and environment refresh processes
- Define and implement test data strategies that support functional, regression, integration, performance, automation, and modernization testing needs
- Document data models, test data design patterns, source-to-target mappings, provisioning processes, standards, and best practices for repeatable enterprise use
- Ensure test data solutions comply with data privacy, protection, retention, classification, and regulatory requirements for sensitive customer and financial data

Skills
- Banking Domain Knowledge
- Strong experience in data analysis, data architecture, database design, test data management, quality engineering, or software delivery
- Proficiency writing and optimizing SQL queries for data discovery, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
- Experience analyzing relational databases, mainframe data structures, files, batch jobs, APIs, and downstream data consumers

Work Environment
Location: Hybrid in Hopkins, Minnesota
Hybrid: Onsite 3+ days per week - 2 remote
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $44.00 and $63.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
