Mailroom Operator 1
As a Mailroom Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting the mailroom and receiving dock within an assigned portfolio of buildings. This client-facing, onsite position requires exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Sort incoming mail according to destination and type.
- Process outgoing mail: fold, post, and seal envelopes.
- Prepare packages and create shipment labels.
- Collect, receive, and distribute mail using automated tracking systems.
- Manage and maintain copier/printer stock, including toner and paper usage data.
- Track, trace, and resolve mail problems with carriers.
- Organize and maintain a clean mailroom.
- Confirm receipt and inventory against BOL/invoice for incoming shipments; send copies of receipts and inventory to appropriate personnel.
- Stock items according to guidelines and monitor shelf life/freshness.
- Maintain fresh products on display and check expiration dates.
- Restock shelves using FIFO inventory and report damaged or expired products to management.
- Ensure proper product placement (e.g., separating pet products from food).
- Maintain office and cleaning supply inventory.
- Work collaboratively within the facility management team.
- Anticipate and respond to client needs and concerns.
- Identify potential risks and escalate as needed.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods and lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of related experience, specifically in mailroom operations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data entry and clerical tasks.
- Experience with scanning.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite, contract position located in Jacksonville, FL, with onsite parking available. Interviews will be conducted onsite.
