Position: Postal Clerk • Type: Contract • Compensation: $50 - $150/hour • Location: Remote • Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Responsibilities
- Review sample postal questions and flag any that don't sound like what real customers ask.
- Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on mail classes, shipping options, postage, fees, and shipping labels.
- Cover package tracking, missing or damaged mail, change of address and mail forwarding, and international mailing and customs forms in your rubrics.
- Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
- Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.
Requirements
- Current, former, or retired USPS frontline experience (postal clerk, sales and service associate, or retail associate).
- Have strong relevant experience helping customers in person at a post office counter.
- Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, and change of address.
- Clear, precise writing skills.
- Experience with international mail and customs documentation is a plus.
