Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician
About the role
The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments, including obtaining new prescriptions and prescription refill information, retrieving, counting, and measuring drugs, and assisting the pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
- Performs computations and typically works on semi-routine assignments.
- Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from the computer.
- Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to the pharmacist.
- May operate a cash register.
- Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
- Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards but has some latitude over prioritization and timing.
- Follows standard practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation, deviation, or independence.
- Participates in Humana/Senior Bridge’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; screening will be required if selected for this role.
Requirements
- Less than 3 years of technical experience.
- Active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- National certification (e.g., PTCB, NHA) preferred.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM to Midnight.
- Overtime may be required.
- Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
This is an onsite position located at Riverside Distribution Facility, 4302 W. Buckeye Rd. Ste. 109, Phoenix, AZ 85043.
Pay
The pay range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. Individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
$40,000 – $52,300 per year.
