Magnetic Resonance Tech - Grand Blanc - Afternoons

About the role

Performs magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance imaging device, including preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images. Assists in developing protocol for patient studies. Performs quality control procedures on equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Must maintain required hours of continued education
• Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS) required
• Two years of experience in Radiography recommended but not mandatory

Certifications/Licensures

• Current certification with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MRI) preferred
• If not already certified, MRI board certification (ARRT) (MR) must be achieved within 12 months of hire if you are:
  • A registered Radiographer (ARRT)(R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or
  • A registered Sonographer (ARDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
  • A registered Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT) (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or board certified (NMTCB) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
• Failure to obtain MRI registry within the designated time frame will result in termination of the position
