About the Role
Operates MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for evaluating pathologies in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and positions patients, selecting appropriate parameters for cross-sectional imaging.
- Performs patient screening, scheduling, and education related to procedures.
- Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images, and ensures high-quality submissions to PACS.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
- Maintains equipment functionality, reports issues, and ensures a clean, safe environment.
- Performs other assigned duties as needed.
Key Duties
- Ensuring image quality and patient safety.
- Proper equipment operation and adherence to protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program.
- No prior experience required.
- Certification in BLS (AHA) and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification.
Skills
- Physical ability for constant standing, walking, lifting (0-50 lbs.), and frequent patient handling.
- Use of vision, hearing, communication, and data entry skills.
