Machinist / Senior Machinist

Job Duties

• Inspects own work to prints and uses time management skills.
• Maximizes set-ups and tooling of present and future jobs, utilizes cycle time for additional operations and works at a speed necessary to exceed rates the majority of the time.
• Maintains an exceptional level of quality according to standards on all parts.
• Sets up and operates various machines including lathes, saws, CNC machines, grinders, inspection tools, forklifts, carts, hob, Redine, pallet jack, ladders, vise, computers, eye protection with side shields, leather footwear, ear plugs.
• Sets up and operates machines in a production cell with little or no assistance.
• Meets safety and good 5S practices.
• Fulfills preventive and corrective maintenance duties as requested.
• Able to work within a team.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to load a part into a machine, run the machine, remove the part and inspect.
• Meets quality expectations.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Regular and consistent attendance.

Education, Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar shop setting.

Compensation Information

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. The range for this position is: $25.00 – $33.00 (hourly).
