Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain complex industrial machinery, machine tools, and fabrication manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of failures, and perform effective repairs and adjustments to restore operations.
  • Work closely with Production and Tool Room teams to machine and modify replacement parts as needed to support timely equipment repairs and ensure operational continuity.
  • Perform precision mechanical work including fitting, aligning, and rebuilding bearings, spindles, shafts, gear assemblies, and other critical machine components.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of new machinery, equipment, and production systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, schematics, technical manuals, codebooks, and engineering specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, levels, squares, gauges, and test equipment to verify tolerances and machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and service records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Follow all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems, machine design, machining practices, and industrial maintenance techniques including CNC equipment operation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Physical & Sensory Demands

  • Daily work may include bending, crouching, and reaching.
  • Job duties will also include lifting, stretching and turning, up to 95% of the time; from ground to waist and from waist to overhead. Often, lifting up to 50lbs unassisted is required.
  • Standing and walking 75-80% of the time is to be expected.
