Machinist Job

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, mixers, and mechanical systems.
• Remove, install, maintain, and rebuild process equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Apply proper and safe use of all tools required to maintain equipment in an industrial chemical plant.
• Work independently and collaboratively to support daily maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
• Follow all Arkema and site-specific safety protocols, procedures, and work practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of practical experience in an industrial facility as a machinist, industrial mechanic, or equivalent craft.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing rotating equipment.
• Experience with removal, installation, and maintenance of process equipment.
• Strong understanding of proper and safe use of tools in a chemical plant environment.

Work Environment

• Chemical plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and confined spaces.
• Requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting, and working in challenging conditions while wearing required PPE.

Reporting Structure

Union hourly role reporting to Senior Maintenance Supervisor/Planner.
