Machinist III - Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors multiple CNC lathe and milling machines concurrently.
• Proficient in interpreting and applying G-codes and M-codes.
• Able to perform tool touch-offs and adjust offsets as required.
• Produces accurate first article parts and submits them for inspection.
• Adjusts speeds and feeds with prior approval from the Supervisor or Manufacturing Engineer (ME).
• Modifies CNC programs as needed with Supervisor or ME authorization.
• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, including GD&T specifications.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to tooling, equipment, or setup.
• Maintains precision work within tolerances of ±0.0002" in a fast-paced, high-pressure, quality-driven environment.
• Ensures machines and work areas are maintained for safe and efficient operation.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to Level I and Level II machinists.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years CNC machine shop experience as a machinist operating CNC Lathes and Milling machines.
• High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to operate and set a variety CNC machine make/model (either mills and/or mill turns) proficiently.
• Must be able to perform machine setups independently.
• Able to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Capable of working and maintaining tolerances within .0002” in a high-pressure, fast-paced, quality-oriented environment.
• (Must pass level III test)
• Mathematics - Knowledge of basic shop math and dimensions (need to pass test based on sketches)
• Production and Processes - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.

Shift Information

• Required Weekend Shift: Available to work on a weekend schedule consisting of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Shift Differential: This shift includes an additional $1.50 per hour differential.
