Machinist III - Weekend Shift

Responsibilities
- Operates and monitors multiple CNC lathe and milling machines concurrently.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying G-codes and M-codes.
- Able to perform tool touch-offs and adjust offsets as required.
- Produces accurate first article parts and submits them for inspection.
- Adjusts speeds and feeds with prior approval from the Supervisor or Manufacturing Engineer (ME).
- Modifies CNC programs as needed with Supervisor or ME authorization.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, including GD&T specifications.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to tooling, equipment, or setup.
- Maintains precision work within tolerances of ±0.0002" in a fast-paced, high-pressure, quality-driven environment.
- Ensures machines and work areas are maintained for safe and efficient operation.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to Level I and Level II machinists.
Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years CNC machine shop experience as a machinist operating CNC Lathes and Milling machines.
- High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent experience required.
- Ability to operate and set a variety CNC machine make/model (either mills and/or mill turns) proficiently.
- Must be able to perform machine setups independently.
- Able to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 35 lbs occasionally.
- Capable of working and maintaining tolerances within .0002” in a high-pressure, fast-paced, quality-oriented environment.
- (Must pass level III test)
- Mathematics - Knowledge of basic shop math and dimensions (need to pass test based on sketches)
- Production and Processes - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
Shift Information
- Required Weekend Shift: Available to work on a weekend schedule consisting of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Shift Differential: This shift includes an additional $1.50 per hour differential.
