Job Responsibilities
- CNC Machine Operation & Setup
- Set up, with minimal to no assistance, and operate 3 CNC machines to manufacture precision dental device components.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions.
- Load raw materials, tools, and fixtures into CNC equipment.
- Monitor machine operations and make offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering or maintenance teams to resolve problems.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Adhere to ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulations (21 CFR Part 820), GMP, and company quality procedures.
- Complete accurate production and inspection documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Maintain traceability of materials, tooling, and finished products.
- Participate in internal audits, CAPA activities, nonconformance investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all work meets established quality standards and device specifications.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and tool changes.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
- Identify equipment issues and escalate maintenance needs appropriately.
- Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Safety & Team Collaboration
- Follow all OSHA, company safety, and PPE requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
- Aid in process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Train or mentor junior machinists or operators as needed.
