Responsibilities

• Display and execute a Safety First stance with yourself and your coworkers.
• Perform all CNC tasks including set-up, programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC equipment with little or no supervision.
• Hold tolerances of +/- .0001 with either CNC or manual machines.
• Work individually or as part of a team to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Wear appropriate PPE as directed and immediately communicate all safety concerns with management.

Requirements

• Meet all the requirements for Machinist A (Job Code 4847) and have three (3) additional years or experience for a total of ten (10) years of machine shop or applicable trade school experience or a combination of both.
• Show proficiency using Cam Works programming software within 90 days from accepting this position. Return to former position if unable to perform with this software.
• Be a U.S. Citizen.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (state).
• Pass a physical examination as determined by the WSTF physical examination requirements for the job classification.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Meet the requirements for certification, if applicable, as specified in the White Sands Training Database (WTDB).
