Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC vertical mills using work offsets, tool height offsets, and cutter compensation.
• Perform light G code editing when required.
• Inspect your own work/parts before submission to the inspection department and during in-process inspection.
• Work to and hold close tolerances.
• Determine proper feed and speed adjustments as needed.
• Set up and operate vertical mills, making tool adjustments for a variety of major automatic machines.
• Work from blueprints and process sheets to perform production tasks, including cutting and shaping metal to precision dimensions.
• Check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
• Make recommendations concerning the use and improvement of materials and design.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; OR a 2-year post-secondary/Associate Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with Haas, Mitsubishi, or Milltronic controls is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
