Machinist

Ward/Kraft is seeking a motivated, energetic, career-focused machinist.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate precision parts and instruments
• Repair precision metal and plastic components by interpreting blueprints
• Program heavy machinery
• Set up machinery, including drills, grinders, mills, and lathes
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and thread gauges

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Mathematical skills, including calculating industrial math tolerances
• Knowledge of engineering schematics
• Quick learner and problem solver
• Self-starter and detail-oriented
• Dependable, ambitious, energetic, and enthusiastic
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to follow directions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant experience
