Machinist

About the role

Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a Machinist. The Machinist is responsible for production and control of electronic components. This role consists of operating Bridgeports, Kickpress, Furnaces, Vapor Honing and Bead Blasting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform loading, unloading, alignments, cleaning, and maintaining machines.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
• Inspect parts and remove rejects.
• Must be technical, able to learn quickly, work independently and be highly motivated.
• Must be willing to float to meet production needs.
• Follow and understand all written work orders, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Complete work accurately by following written instructions and adhere to required safety rules.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 3+ years of machine shop environment or manufacturing machine experience required.
• Bridgeport, Kickpress, Furnace, Tubbing and/or Blasting experience preferred.
• Microscope experience, understanding of tolerances and measurement tools.
• Must be able to learn new products quickly, accomplish goals, work independently and be highly motivated.

Qualifications

$21 hourly
