Machinist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Sacramento, CA. As a leading metal food packaging producer, we offer competitive pay starting at $37.05 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC grinders, lathes, Bridgeport mills, welders, plasma cutters
• Perform tool and die machining using blueprints and precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, pumps, and production equipment
• Refurbish and rebuild tooling for can-making machinery
• Catalog and organize production tooling for efficiency
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with strict manufacturing tolerances
• Follow lockout/tagout safety procedures
• Operate plant equipment such as forklifts, lifts, and booms

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED - Trade school preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
