Machinist

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions to machine, fabricate, or assemble parts to print and operation sheet specifications using conventional, CNC, and sheet‑metal machines—including saws, riveters, fasteners, setters, presses, spot welders—and hand tools such as grinders and Helicoil installation tools.
• Perform secondary operations during the machine cycle such as deburring and straightening.
• Carry out sheet‑metal/machine‑shop general labor tasks, including grinding/sanding weldments with portable and stationary pneumatic tools, straightening bent or twisted parts/assemblies using manual jacks and hydraulic presses, washing parts/assemblies in aqueous and ultrasonic machines, assisting painters with prep work, and sand/shot blasting steel weldments.
• Inspect parts as they are produced using standard gauges, micrometers, indicators, vernier calipers, depth gauges, and other measuring devices to ensure conformity to specifications.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to learn to read and interpret operation sheets and blueprints, and differentiate between thread sizes, coarse and fine threads, and metric and standard threads.
• Experience with stock‑cutting saws.
• Experience with large Proceco wash stations.
• Experience with burr bench work.
• High school diploma (no degree required).
• Safety shoes are required for this position.

Schedule

First shift: 5:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday (4 × 10 schedule).
