Qualifications

• Must possess a current driver’s license
• Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis without requiring sponsorship
• Maintain adherence to the company’s drug-free work environment and related policies, including pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Able to work with a team in a union environment
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers verbally and/or through written means
• Possess strong organizational skills
• Willing and able to work drafted overtime, including same-day overtime assignments, as required

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years demonstrated machinist experience in a plant or machine shop environment
• Proficiency with manual machining equipment, precision measurement tools, and safe shop work practices
• Preferred: Experience with the teardown, inspection, repair, and rebuild of rotating equipment
• Experience with the repair of ANSI and/or API pumps
• Experience with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical seals
• Experience working in a refinery, petrochemical plant, or similar industrial environment

Physical requirements

• Able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection
• Able to work at heights and walk on high elevation grating
• Able to climb ladders and stairs
• Able to work in hot, cold, and/or inclement weather
• Able to work in and/or around noisy areas and equipment
• Able to stand, bend, kneel, and work in awkward positions
• Able to perform duties in confined spaces and outdoors when required
• Occasional extended work hours during planned and unplanned events
