We are looking for a Field Machinist Specialist to join our team.

Repair, maintain, install, and improve chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.).
Fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment.
Execute preventive maintenance program.
Calibrate, align, and make adjustments to production equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
Available for call-in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs.
Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills.
Read and interpret mechanical/machine drawings.
Work effectively with minimal supervision.
Maintain an excellent safety record – places safety and environment as top priority in all work.
Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
Good communication skills – daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff, and operations as needed.
Good team player – willing to be flexible, work in other areas, and with other trades as needed.

HS diploma.
Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience.
Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment.
Able to work in confined spaces.
Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift.

Work hours are either days shifts or the Fireman’s rotating schedule.
Standard schedule: Mon. – Fri., 8-hour days (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime.
Rotating Fireman’s schedule: 2 (12hr) days, then 2 (12hr) night shifts, followed by 4 days off.
Available for call-in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs.

Estimated salary: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour.

Minimum education level: 2-year schooling and/or 5+ years of demonstrated experience.
Experience level: 0-5 years.
