Machinist

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
• Verify quality of work piece using measuring instruments.
• Operate one or multiple manual machines including: Lathe, Mill, OD Grinder, ID Grinder, Surface Grinder, or Gear Hob.
• Perform daily maintenance of equipment and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with machining concepts and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand written information and ideas.
• Basic math skills and understanding of geometric concepts.
• Overtime and Saturday shifts may be required.

Skills

• Machining concepts related to speeds/feeds.
• Setting up parts.
