About the role

Provide expertise in machining parts from prints and sample parts. Assist the other machinist as required. QC prints and parts as required.

Essential Functions

Provide high-level expertise in machining. Competencies: Communication skills. Operation of manual lathes, mills, VTL, horizontal mills, surface grinder, drill press, and other hand tools Use of precision measuring equipment. Product knowledge. Supervisory Responsibility: This position is responsible for assisting the other machinist in the shop as required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office, shop, and field environment. Will be using a desktop computer, cell phone, various hand tools, and electrical equipment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift heavy materials. The employee should be able to talk and hear.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Very little travel is expected for this position; however, travel could be possible.

Required Education and Experience

Must have 10 plus years of related pump machining experience.
