Machinist

Location: Rochester, NY • Warehouse • Full-time daytime shifts flexible between 6:30 am and 4 pm

About the role

We manufacture and assemble t-slot aluminum extrusion used in applications such as enclosures, industrial fencing, conveyors, and more. The machinist operates drills, saws, and other machines to cut, mill, drill, tap, and deburr raw aluminum stock, ensuring precision and accuracy to produce quality parts for assembly or kit shipment. Team members also cross-train in other departments and perform general warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to a flexible, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drills, mills, and saws to complete assigned tasks
• Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, and samples to ensure accurate production
• Select appropriate machine for each task
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation
• Manage raw inventory and issue materials as tasked
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Assist other machinists and contribute to team success

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher
• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Proficient in math and basic computer skills
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
• Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers

Experience is beneficial but not required; introductory training is provided.

Pay

$20–22 per hour
