About the role

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities

• Set up and perform machining operations on conventional and CNC Machine Tools.
• Manufacture, repair, and rebuild parts and items of equipment from raw stock of different metals and metal alloys.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to maintain dimensions and tolerances, fits and finishes in processing work.
• Set up CNC machines using proper tooling components, optical tool setter, gage blocks, micrometers, etc.
• Maintain accuracy in accordance with requirements of blueprints, drawings and sketches, work documents, aircraft technical documents, manuals, bulletins, and directives.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform common tasks including:
• Applying knowledge of all types of metals, metal alloys, and composite materials used in aircraft structures;
• Performing machining processes/operations to include planning, laying out and setting-up of work;
• Using various types of conventional and computer numerical control machine tools to perform machining operations;
• Interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, directives, technical specifications and trade mathematics.
