About the role
CIRCOR Naval Solutions is looking for a CNC Machinist to run a Multus on 3rd shift. Training will be on 1st shift with a 6am start time. Once trained and moved to 3rd shift, you will receive the 20% differential.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating CNC Mill
- Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Using CNC controls and precision measurement tools
- Performing multi-axis machining operations
- Conducting quality checks
- Utilizing precision measurement devices
- Monitoring machine operations
- Planning and performing rough and finish machining on a variety of machines both CNC and manual
- Performing setups independently
- Operating and understanding advanced machine tools (i.e., CNC)
- Performing other duties as responsibilities necessitate
Requirements
- Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining would be a plus
- Minimum of three years’ experience required
- CNC milling experience
- Ability to work over 8 hours in a shift
- Ability to read blueprints/geometric tolerances
- Instrumentation/gaging skills required; familiarity with machinist tools and hand tools (micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage)
- Open to coaching and training with willingness to learn all machines within a cell
- Some physical effort (avg. 25 lbs)
- U.S. Citizenship is required for DOD requirements
- Crane and hoisting experience a plus
