Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently set up and operate all common machine tools and equipment.
  • Machine parts using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Perform simple to complex machine setups with little to no assistance.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics.
  • Demonstrate solid working knowledge of machine tools/parts, set up, operation, and maintenance.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience with manual machines.
  • Trade school education/certificate preferred.
  • Machining certificates as equipment requires.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with Microsoft packages.
  • G and M code understanding.
  • Preferred experience with Fanuc controllers.
  • Preferred experience with O-M VTLs; Sip/K&T/Shibaura/Ikegai Mills.
  • Preferred manual machining experience.

  • Occasionally: Push or pull using material handling equipment up to 500 pounds.
  • Regularly: Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Use hands to type, handle, or feel.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
  • Initial and annual hearing and vision exams must be successfully passed.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Schedule

3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM. Shift Differential: Additional $2.50/hr.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels, with individual compensation determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
