Machinist A - 3rd shift

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Vertical Mills.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use CNC controls and precision measurement tools.
• Perform multi-axis machining operations.
• Conduct quality checks using precision measurement devices.
• Monitor machine operations.
• Plan and perform rough and finish machining on a variety of CNC and manual machines.
• Perform setups independently.
• Operate and understand advanced machine tools (e.g., CNC).
• Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.

Requirements

• Must be able to work over 8 hours in a shift.
• Crane and hoisting experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances.
• Instrumentation and gaging skills required.
• Familiarity with machinist tools and hand tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gages).
• Willingness to learn all machines within a cell and be open to coaching and training.
• Some physical effort required (average 25 lbs).
• US Citizenship is required for Department of Defense (DOD) requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of experience.
