Job Summary
The hourly rate for this position is $27.06/ hour plus 15% Shift Differential. General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks Machinists to join their Saco Operations team. They support the mission of the warfighter and work on products used by all U.S. Military branches and allied nations.
Responsibilities
- Loads, operates, and unloads a variety of conventional machines, presses, saws, and other industrial related equipment to produce parts per manufacturing process.
- Ensures parts are within the specified tolerances using the prescribed gages.
- May be required to perform other duties as required by management.
- Must have physical ability to frequently lift, move, adjust, etc. items weighing approximately 35 lbs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills and may be required to enter and verify information into written forms or database(s) as appropriate.
- Average 8 months; Includes 4 months through 1 year.
- Must be capable of gaging and inspecting parts.
- Basic ability in shop math skills.
