Machinist, 3rd shift

About the Role

Regal Rexnord’s Aerospace and Defense business is on an upward trajectory, and we are rapidly growing. We have opportunities to add new team members to our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility. Current openings are on 3rd shift (10 PM - 6 AM), with possible training on 1st shift (6 AM - 2 PM).

Key Accountabilities

• Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal/written instructions.
• Machine and install or re-cut chuck jaws as required.
• Insert and secure tooling in machine turrets and perform machine setups.
• Download and upload programs into machines and make minor programming adjustments as needed.
• Operate various types of computerized numerical controls to manufacture finished machined products within tight tolerances.
• Inspect own work for correct dimensions, ensure company quality and quantity standards are maintained, and complete required documentation.
• Inspect the work of other machinists.
• May operate multiple machines and rotate departments.
• Enter data into the ERP system.
• Load and unload component piece parts with weights up to 25 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience and demonstrated proficiency in operating CNC lathe, CNC mill machines, or resistance spot welder (any combination of two machines), with intermediate knowledge and experience in setting up machines.
• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Reliable attendance with minimal call-offs.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience and knowledge of machining principles and methods for computer numerical controlled machine tools.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints in English.
• External candidates must pass a Machinist test measuring mechanical aptitude.

Pay

Based on experience, we offer $24.00-$32.00/Hr.
