Machinist - 1st shift

This position is for a Machinist on the 1st shift at the Delavan, WI facility.

Responsibilities

You will set up, gauge, and run production on castings using CNC lathes or mills, including full tooling and fixturing setup, precision measurement, and machining operations to maintain tight tolerances.

• Perform operations such as facing, turning, boring, chamfering, grooving, threading, drilling, tapping, and washing a variety of materials and parts.
• Set up machines where detail and operating procedures are standardized and obvious.
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, precision measuring equipment, overhead hoists, hand tools/power tools/air tools, and refractometer.
• Read part drawings and use adjustable and fixed gauges to check work.
• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform routine maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience (candidates with limited experience but strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply).
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of GD&T, print comprehension, and shop math.
• Ability to multi‑task to keep production running smoothly.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, twist at the waist, and lift or lower weights up to 30 lb; steel‑toed shoes required on the distribution floor.

Schedule

1st shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Occasional mandatory overtime may be required. Overtime is available.

Pay

Hourly rate: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour, dependent on experience (DOE). Opportunity for a rate increase after proficiency and training completion. A $1,000 hiring bonus is payable in two installments ($500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months), subject to repayment if employment ends within one year.
