Machinist 1

Job Summary

Performs routine tasks including cleaning machines, deburring parts, and saw operations. Operates other types of machinery such as numerical control (NC) and computer numerical control (CNC).

Primary Responsibilities

• Operates saws and delivers material to operators as needed.
• Operates lift devices (chain hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Keeps the material area clean and provides assistance with cycle count needs.
• Cleans in-process inspection.
• Prepares/enters/completes work order reporting, transactions, documentation, and non-conformances in applicable software and computer systems.
• Adheres to safety practices, 6S, and follows Fike policies and ISO9001.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six plus months of Vo-Tech, manufacturing, or mechanical exposure experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, work orders and engineered drawings.
• Exposure to using hand tools and measuring tools (calipers and gauges).
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Trainee duties.

Compensation

Starting at $21 per hour and is based on the candidate’s experience.
