Machining Process Engineer

About the role

Machining Process Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing machining processes in a manufacturing environment. They work closely with production teams to ensure that products meet quality standards while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement machining processes using CAD/CAM software
• Optimize machining operations to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality
• Conduct process evaluations and make recommendations for process improvements
• Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in machining processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in machining processes
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machines and tools
• Knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques
• Understanding of material properties and their impact on machining processes
