Machining Operator/2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Effectively operate, inspect, and maintain 2 or more machines in any two classes of machines (Screw, Rotary, Davenport) at 80% productivity
• Complete independent measurements using complex gauging as well as calculating stackups
• Set shaves, thread rolls, chases, mill cutters, recesses, and roller supports in any one class of machines (Screw, Rotary, Davenport) as well as make tool changes and adjustments on machines in another class
• Effectively complete changeovers and attachment settings for complex family jobs on any one class of machines (Screw, Rotary, Davenport) and perform simple part families in another class of machines
• Complete regular preventative maintenance on machines, including reset stops and change rollers
• Perform basic troubleshooting when machine problems occur and resolve issues independently
• Pull schedules for work centers and run attainment reports
• Operate crane, including properly loading/unloading material on saddles and/or machines
• Preset basic tooling for production machines
• Maintain accurate record keeping
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and tool zone
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and maintaining automatic machines
• Able to read and understand blueprints, as well as positional tolerance
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude as well as the ability to use measuring instruments and gauges accurately
• Able to read and understand procedures, work instructions, and other production documentation
• Advanced math skills (calculate angles and stackups)
• Able to effectively communicate technical knowledge and information
• Must become lock-out tag-out certified within 1 year
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lb load
• No disciplinary write-ups in the last 6 months
• Have less than two (2) incidents under the attendance policy
• Demonstrated positive work history through performance reviews
• Must be able to pass applicable assessments

Pay

Hiring Pay Range: $62,420 USD - $70,928 USD. Actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
