About the role
The company is a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of precision machined parts experiencing significant growth. They are seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team of 60+ employees in a fast-paced two-shift operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high mix, lower volume operation where Quality is the #1 objective, met through extensive array of CNC, Mill, Lathe and Swiss machines on the floor
- Collaborate with the Master Scheduler to optimize machine uptime and labor allocation
- Maintain and champion ISO 9001:2015 certification, overseeing strict inspection procedures and zero-defect initiatives
- Oversee facility maintenance and the integration of new technology maintaining the “cutting edge”
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in a CNC machining environment such as Production Manager or Plant Superintendent
- Strong technical understanding of multi-axis CNC milling and lathe work along with Swiss style screw machining
- Demonstrated background of being hands-on, metrics-driven, and able to earn credibility quickly with Machinists, Supervisors, Engineers, and the Executive Team
Qualifications
Technical education is preferred but not necessary given the right experience.
