About the role
Starr Boiler and Machinery Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is open to candidates based in Northern IA or Southwest WI.
Responsibilities
- Conducting boiler and pressure vessel inspections to ensure the safety and compliance of clients' machinery and equipment.
- Risk Assessment capability is a plus.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, including ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional regulations.
- Interacting effectively with clients at all levels, providing clear and concise reports and recommendations.
- Managing a multi-state territory, working independently and with good organizational skills.
- Performing internal boiler examinations, requiring physical capability and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
- A NB commission with "IS" endorsement or the ability to obtain a NB commission within 12 months of hire.
- Experience in conducting jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels in IA and WI is a plus.
- Well-motivated self-starter with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory.
- Good knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional regulations.
