Machinery Specialist

About the role

Starr Boiler and Machinery Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is open to candidates based in Northern IA or Southwest WI.

Responsibilities

• Conducting boiler and pressure vessel inspections to ensure the safety and compliance of clients' machinery and equipment.
• Risk Assessment capability is a plus.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, including ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Interacting effectively with clients at all levels, providing clear and concise reports and recommendations.
• Managing a multi-state territory, working independently and with good organizational skills.
• Performing internal boiler examinations, requiring physical capability and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

• A NB commission with "IS" endorsement or the ability to obtain a NB commission within 12 months of hire.
• Experience in conducting jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels in IA and WI is a plus.
• Well-motivated self-starter with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory.
• Good knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional regulations.
