Machine Shop, Hourly

About the role

As a Machine Shop Hourly team member at Honeywell, you will contribute to the efficient and safe operation of machining processes, ensuring quality standards are met while supporting production schedules. You will report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager and work out of the South Bend, IN location on an on-site schedule. In this role, you will impact manufacturing operations by performing machining tasks that support production goals and customer requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Support production schedules by efficiently completing assigned machining tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve machining issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• Experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of machining processes and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to follow safety and quality procedures rigorously.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing setting.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new machining technologies and processes.
