Machine Set Up Operator, Full Time Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun 4am-4pm)
About the role
PIVOT POINT INC., a manufacturer of non-threaded fasteners located in Hustisford, WI, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Weekend 1st Shift Full Time Machine Set-up Operator position. This person would learn to set up, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of our machinery, with training in various departments such as Screw Machines, Automatic Drill Machines, and Shavers as needed.
Responsibilities
The Machine Set-up Operator will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating machinery, and will work a Full Time Weekend Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun 4am-4pm), with 36 hours of work paid as 40 hours.
Requirements
- Experience in Manufacturing Machining required, with experience working with Metal
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to do machine set-ups and troubleshoot mechanical problems, such as adjusting cams
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent attention to detail, with ability to use close tolerance measuring tools
- Ability to perform repetitive motion standing in one place for extended periods of time
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds as well as move 100+ pounds with cart
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, Q.C. sheets and measuring devices
- Solid work history and attendance record with proven reliability
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability, with experience in manufacturing machining and working with metal. A solid, long-term, consistent work history is also required.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and knowledge of what is needed to produce quality parts is necessary, as well as the ability to work independently and use close tolerance measuring tools.
Pay
Salary starting at $25-28/hour, with room to grow from there.
Schedule
Full Time Weekend Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun 4am-4pm), with training for this position on Mon-Thurs 4am-2:30pm for an estimated 2-3 months.
