Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to machine operators on new job development
- Operate Tool Room equipment with limited supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements
- Horizontal, vertical hones, OD/ID grinders, surface grinders, centerless, and polishing
- Read and interpret manufacturing and tooling prints, select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances
- Utilize Toolroom inspection equipment - micrometers, calipers, indicators, contour tracers, microscope, and comparators)
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Follows company safety guidelines
- Performs preventative maintenance when required
- Programming and setup of CNC machines
- Knowledge of tools to perform turning, milling, drilling, and boring
- Responsible for own inspection of tooling
- Strong Mathematical and problem solving skills
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Basic computer skills using Google Workspace (sheets, docs, drive, chat, Gmail, etc.)
- Solid math skills
- Mechanically inclined, shop classes or manufacturing process training is required
- Basic problem solving skills
- Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems
- Willingness to learn new areas of the business
