Schedule
Full-time weekend shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am – 6:30 pm

About the Role
The associate in this leadership position will learn all technical competencies necessary to operate production equipment, read and understand part specifications, and enter productivity and run conditions into the system.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate all machines efficiently in the converting area
- Consistently meet production targets with acceptable quality
- Safely train new employees on any specified machines in the converting department
- Assist others in the department as a resource to ensure success
- Inspect product for deficiencies and out-of-specification issues
- Troubleshoot process issues
- Communicate material and equipment concerns to leadership
- Maintain accurate production records
- Perform daily operator maintenance and keep workspace clean and organized
- Communicate continuous improvement suggestions to leadership
- Practice good safety habits and follow HVO safety rules and regulations
- Become familiar with relevant FDA and ISO standards
- Use computer skills for time tracking and job-related tasks
- Assist with non-routine temporary tasks in the department
- Demonstrate leadership by working in any area to meet production schedules
- Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors
- Practice proper gowning procedures and maintain acceptable hygiene
- Support all associates in the department and accept responsibility
- Complete recommended training as requested
Requirements
- Ability to interact respectfully with individuals with disabilities
- Basic computer skills for time tracking and job-related tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge, including ability to read and perform basic math functions
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to train associates on any machines in the converting department
- Ability to lift and position (with assistance) up to 85 pounds for changeovers
- Ability to concentrate closely on repetitive tasks for sustained periods
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred, or proven work experience in a related field.
