Position Overview
Mid-Atlantic Packaging is seeking a Full-Time Machine Operator/Warehouse Associate to join our team in Dover, DE. As a Machine Operator/Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in our custom-branding operations, ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials. Your knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining hot-stamp and ink-printing machinery, as well as warehouse operations, will contribute to the success of our packaging production process.

Mon - Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM (Lunch: 12 PM - 1 PM)
Pay Rate
$15.00/hour + Bi-weekly Production Bonus Based on Performance
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate printing presses in accordance with job specifications.
- Load printing plates, adjust ink levels, and ensure proper alignment of printing materials.
- Monitor the printing process and adjust as needed to ensure accurate, consistent quality.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect printed materials for defects, color accuracy, and overall print quality.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure adherence to standards.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload printing materials, including products, substrates, and ink supplies.
- Cook with management to ensure the timely supply of materials for continuous operation.
- Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the printing equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Troubleshoot and address minor equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to printing operations.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials used, and any issues encountered during printing.
- Provide data for tracking and production reports.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth production processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve print quality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, printing specifications, and technical documents
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for color accuracy and print quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address minor equipment issues
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to work onsite, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
