Machine Operator Trainee (Night Shift)

Job Overview

Accredo Packaging is seeking Machine Operator, Trainees to support their Extrusion and Paper Bag manufacturing operations in Sugar Land, Texas. This role is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn how to operate complex, industrial manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Safely Operating Equipment

• Safely operate and assist with industrial manufacturing equipment used in extrusion or paper bag production
• Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers according to production specifications
• Read and follow production orders, schedules, and job documentation
• Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during production runs
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report mechanical or process issues
• Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications
• Record production output, downtime, scrap, and maintenance activity

Physical Demands

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Working around moving machinery, noise, and industrial equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex machinery
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, but not required
• Basic math skills and ability to read measuring devices
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules, work instructions, and production documentation, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn production systems
• Ability to work day or night shifts and overtime as needed
