Machine Operator (Special Machining, 2nd Shift 4x10)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Select proper material
- Inspect material
- Machine product
- Assure quality standards understood and they are met
- Able to constructively work with others
- Perform Safety audits
- Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions
- Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives
- Coach and train new associates
- Change and install tooling (when applicable)
- Compile daily production reports
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
- Identify shortages and request delivery through proper personnel
- Follow proper procedures for inventory control
- Assure conformance with the 5S program
- Assure compliance with all related safety policies and procedures
- Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals
- Serve as a member of the manufacturing team, providing assistance as needed
- Assist with hazardous waste management (Koch Dip equipment)
Qualification and Skill Requirements
- High School Graduate/GED or prior Eagle Window and Door employment
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to use measuring equipment and read prints
- Basic product knowledge
- Understanding of related safety policies and procedures
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Ability to lift and maneuver product (some position may require lifting up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift product throughout the assembly process
- Completion of lock-out/tag-out training
- Demonstrated ability to be trained on and operate specialized equipment
- Oral communication skills

Profit Sharing
In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
