About the role

In this role, you will support daily production operations by coordinating workflow, training and assisting employees, and serving as a liaison between production employees and the Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee assignments to support production needs and workflow.
  • Train new Machine Operators and provide ongoing guidance and support to production employees.
  • Assist employees with work instructions, change instructions, and established operating procedures.
  • Support the implementation and consistent application of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor production activities to promote efficiency and minimize non-maintenance downtime.
  • Ensure production work meets established quality standards.
  • Verify required production information is accurately recorded and reported.
  • Monitor employee compliance with required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures.
  • Lead and support 5S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Help develop operator capability and flexibility through training and cross-training.
  • Serve as a liaison between production employees and the Shift Supervisor, communicating operational needs, concerns, and issues as appropriate.
  • Model professional communication, teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor with production-related responsibilities as needed.
  • Perform Machine Operator responsibilities and provide production coverage as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Machine Operator experience or demonstrated production operations knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to train, provide work direction, and communicate effectively with the production team.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, production documentation, and established procedures.
  • Ability to operate production equipment and meet the physical requirements of the position.

Schedule

Third Shift: 11:50 PM – 8:00 AM (Overtime/weekend work may be required)
