Great opportunities are right here in your backyard. Kelly® is looking for a Machine Operator I (Plastic Extrusion Technician) to work at a premier manufacturing client in Taunton, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating, adjusting, and monitoring extrusion manufacturing equipment.
  • Performing machine changeovers, cleanouts, equipment resets, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Conducting quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, laser micrometers, and vision systems.
  • Completing production and quality documentation in accordance with GMP and ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Monitoring raw material usage, production output, and product quality throughout production runs.
  • Mixing and preparing raw materials, packaging finished products, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintaining a high level of productivity and quality while mentoring team members as needed.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED, with at least 2 years of manufacturing or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment; melt extrusion or plastic extrusion experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated environments (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP)—a plus.
  • Comfortable using precision measuring instruments and familiar with decimals, fractions, weights, and metric measurements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently lift items under 20 pounds, and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Pay

$19.00+/hour (based on experience)

Schedule

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:45 PM – 8:00 AM
